This application is for phase three where a questionnaire was conducted with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) customers such as patients, family member and visitors. The questionnaires are the final data collection for this study. The questionnaire topics for this phase of data collection have been identified from the literature review and analysis of the data collected in phase one and two. The target population for this questionnaire will be reached using convenience sampling. As the HMC is supporting this research and is the case study organisation the HMC Research Committee has given permission for the questionnaires to be distributed in the reception and waiting areas of each of its hospitals. They will not be issued in wards, consulting or other private medical areas. As the subject of this research is medical tourism those who have been or currently are patients and accompanying family members or other visitors will all form the target population. Since the HMC has a bed capacity of 2013 it is anticipated that the target of 350 completed questionnaires across all the sub groups is viable. None of the questions relate to personal medical conditions but are all focussed on the area of medical tourism and its service and experiencescapes. The participants will be recruited regardless of their gender or socio-economic background but limited as to age as only individuals aged 18 years and above will be allowed to participate. No personal information which could identify the participants is sought and the researcher will issue the questionnaire herself. Completion of this survey is anticipated to take 10-15 minutes. The questionnaire will be conducted in Arabic and English because the majority of the target population will be either Arabic nationals or English speakers either working or visiting Qatar. The questionnaire will be analysed using SPSS software by the researcher. This research project is only concerned with the development of medical tourism in Qatar; therefore the survey will not include questions related to participants personal medical situation. All surveys was distributed in waiting areas to avoid any distraction.
