Submission Procedure
The electronic copy of your report must be formatted in a common standard format (.doc, .docx, .odt, .rtf or .pdf) and submitted to the BIOL40111 dropbox.

Notes on Structure
Overall
Write in good scientific English. This means writing clearly so that procedures and results can be understood. This commonly also means using the passive voice in descriptions (e.g., of methods and results).
Title Page

Results
The results should be written indicating the logical progression of the experiments or analyses performed. This need not be the order in which they were undertaken, but the presentation should be honest and rigorous.
Tables, graphs and figures should be clearly labelled and of adequate size, making use of the whole page. A legend should be placed at the bottom of each figure/table (or on the facing page if appropriate). The legend should give sufficient details for interpretation of the figure.

Discussion

It is recommended that you use Refworks software. Adopt a consistent style of referencing (consult your supervisor) and be accurate. One or more supplementary sections may be included if you wish to include raw data.
