This task is to produce a report, either written OR recorded presentation (PowerPoint, Prezi or other form of slide presentation). For the report, you are to imagine yourself working for an organisation. You can use an organisation based on your field of study (e.g. public relations, IT, accounting firm). You are tasked with researching and producing a report on the development of a formal email policy for the organisation. Aspects to discuss in the report include (but are not limited to):
Why should your organisation develop a formal email policy?
Issues around email use: for example, too many emails (information overload), email `addiction`, privacy and legal implications.
What are the benefits of a formal email policy?
How should the policy be implemented or enforced?
You are required to research and include at least five (5) reputable references in the report. Any information that you take from external sources must be referenced and a reference list included, either at the end of the written report or on the final slide of the recorded presentation. The additional inclusion of journal articles is highly recommended. The written report must have correct report format. The recorded presentation must include a slide show.

The report is required to be worked on and submitted as a pair (two students per group). Both partners are required to contribute equally to the final result. In exceptional circumstances students may be permitted to submit the assessment as an individual. Please contact the course coordinator or your local lecturer if you believe your situation to be genuinely problematic. If there are any problems or concerns regarding your group, such as your partner not taking their share of the task or they become unavailable for whatever reason, you need to contact the course coordinator or local lecturer for immediate advice.

Distance students are to use the Group Report Forum to seek a partner. If you arrange a group, make sure you advise the course coordinator. If you cannot locate a partner by week 6, the course coordinator will partner you with another student. Distance students should maintain regular contact with the course Moodle site and with your assessment partner through Zoom, Wiggio or Skype, email and/or phone. On-campus students are required to arrange meeting times to complete this task.
