Home to the world famous Cadbury World and Bournville sites, it is a city with a history drenched in chocolate. From John Cadbury selling drinking chocolate in Bull Street, Birmingham city centre in 1824 to launching the UKs first mass produced milk chocolate with the Dairy Milk bar in 1905, the company has shaped the Citys and countrys chocolate eating habits for over a century. Cadbury even built an entire village to house their workers, which is now the well-known Bournville model village. With its steep history in chocolate, we only thought it fair that Birmingham should host an annual chocolate festival, where people could come and try weird, wonderful and delicious chocolate treats and variations. That was Birmingham Chocolate Festival 2016. This year: After the success of the first ever Birmingham Chocolate Festival last year, we will once again be hosting the event this year at the heart of Birmingham City Centre in Brindley Place towards the end of October 2017. This years festival promises to be bigger and better and will include music, entertainment and food stalls selling a range of indulgent and unusual chocolate treats, as well as a Chocolate Gunge tank! The event will be put on with help from established market operators Sketts and in conjunction with our charity partners Birmingham St Marys Hospice. Target Market: Wed like to attract the following to the festival. Families, local residents and tourists to Birmingham.
