Project requirements Describe the new material from a material science/engineering perspective. Consider its purpose, what it replaces, is it something new, is it a new function etc. Relevance to structures in the built environment. Consider the life cycle analysis, design life and durability. Use reliable sources of information; do not depend exclusively on internet resources.
Report Submission as a group
The submission will be in the format of a material assessment report with appropriate headings and sub-headings etc. The length of the report is minimum 3000 words to maximum 4000 words (A4 1.5 line space 12pt Times New Roman font) excluding any appendices and referencing/bibliography in the number of words. Larger groups are expected to have more content. Use photos or images to reinforce and support your study. Identify sources of all information used in your report. A consistent style is required in the report. Do not pad the report out with irrelevant detail or long tables and dot points.
