3.1 discuss the impact that different leadership styles may have on motivation in organizations in periods of change

Identify the different motivational theories used by different leaders in your chosen organization in different periods of time (can be the change due to restructuring, downsizing, merger and acquisition, etc.) like expectancy theory, two factor theory, etc.

Based on the different leadership styles identified in task 2.1, discuss the impact of those leadership styles may have on motivation in organisations in periods of change (downsizing, structure, culture change)

3.2 compare the application of different motivational theories within the workplace

Compare the application of the identified motivational theories by leaders in terms of job satisfaction, empowerment, rewards and incentives, non monetary and monetary rewards, individual and organizational performance (production, behavior, etc.)

3.3 evaluate the usefulness of motivation theory for managers

Draw implications/lessons for managers from the usefulness of the identified motivation theories in task 3.1 on managers’ and leaders’ traits, management styles, contingency approach or leadership and organizational culture in general.
