how will you position yourself uniquely in the market.

This is an individual-level assignment. Specifically, Im looking for your ability to apply marketing concepts to yourself as a product that you are trying to market to a potential employer. You will evaluate your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, objectives, target market, and marketing mix strategies (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) to market yourself. You can consider either short term or long-term career objectives. What is the target industry (market) for your post collegiate job? What is the profile of the employer? You could specify it to be a specific company, a group of companies, organizations in a particular field, etc. The marketing mix is the four P’s. Consider yourself as the product and mention your core benefit to your target market. Price is the starting salary in your target job you are marketing to. You can use a site like salary.com to find salary information. Place is where you are targeting to go for employment. It might be where your target market companies are or it could be a region and/or a specific location. Promotion is how you are communicating and promoting yourself to your target market. This assignment is related to the material we are studying and I will expect you to analyze the project based on the material in the books and class. You will have to write a 3-4 pages, double spaced paper. You should refer to Chapter 7 to structure your paper. The paper should include a discussion of the important attributes of the products marketing mix, a SWOT analysis, the target market for your brand, competition that you face and how will you position yourself uniquely in the market. This will be an important exercise to take stock of yourself as an individual, your strengths and weaknesses, what you aspire to do and achieve in future and how do you intend to go about with the same.
