Identify an accounting and finance-related issue worth investigating. Once the issue has been identified and justified, a research topic should then be proposed to the module leader for approval before commencement. The proposed research topic must be relevant to accounting and finance with an appropriate scope. The context and rationale must be established and explained. The research aim and objectives must be clear. The literature review must demonstrate a clear relationship with the research objectives. It must be a critical review, establishing a relevant conceptual framework for the research findings. The methodology chapter must include a clear discussion of the alternative research methodologies available and a justification of the selected approach. A conclusion summarizing the main points of the report must be included, and all cited sources must be referenced using the Harvard style of referencing.
